Radnor Board: No Houses, Hotel at the Willows
By Sam Strike
On Monday the Radnor Township Board of Commissioners voted to move a number of proposals for the Willows mansion and cottage to the next phase in its search for a partner to take over the buildings' operations. And then at long last there was a Bashore update. Aren't you all glad that piece of trash is in Parksburg or wherever now? It bites that Radnor can't get their full pound of flesh from Dave Bashore, but hopefully Radnor can finally close the door on this scumbag. Of course one has to wonder why the Delco District Attorney did so little? Of course everyone is still wondering whatever happened to that letter of reference Bill Spingler offered to write Dave Bashore back when this began? Speaking of the old coot, is it true old Spingler has a new gal? Do tell if so! Would love the deets!!
Not amongst those proposals to move forward were pitches for a boutique hotel and new houses on the township-owned property.
Local residential developer C.F. Holloway III had submitted a proposal that included building 28 homes.
A development group had submitted a proposal to build a 60-room "luxury, boutique" hotel there.
Both proposals included building the new construction on part of the Willows park. On Monday, a majority of the commissioners said that they only wanted to pursue proposals that were renovations of the mansion and cottage and a small area of land around each.

When did Spingler learn about Bashore's employee contract that was never made public. Except for Bill all involved with the scandal have left the building. Some faster than others.
It seems that it wasn't just one or few bad apples, it was almost all the apples.
