What is a blog? Personal opinion and freedom of speech comprises a great deal of it, right? And much of what goes on this blog is based on items I find in the news.
So that being said, why should I edit my blog because people end up in the paper and years later are the only ones looking for the article?
And regarding one old post in particular, justsnarky has received a couple of e-mails. I last documented it in Helicopter Parents Make Me Batty in April.
That post the person writing in on a comment form did not provide a link to the post. I did not know what post they were referring to until now because justsnarky was contacted again, this time by someone more directly involved with what went on.
Alrighty, can we put this to sleep once and for all: this was in the NEWS. As in newspapers and on T.V.
Apparently those involved have been running around contacting blogs and traditional news media outlets to have their websites scrub references to this incident. That is of course their prerogative, but not my obligation.
Also worth noting? justsnarky went back and reviewed the post in question and also doesn't see the blog Philebrity removing their post, nor any reference to being asked.
I will also point out that no names are in my post, merely reference to the content of the articles. So while those who were involved know exactly who they are and what they did, uhhh they are it at this point. They are also the only ones looking for this.
I have resisted thus far in re-promoting this post and reviving the topic. Might I suggest that you all run away and leave the topic alone? It is good you have changed your formerly dastardly ways, but stop harassing bloggers and media. Didn't your helicopter mamas teach you least said soonest mended? I guess if they don't know it, you will have to explore that idiom on your own.
Thanks for stopping by.
Blogging is not for everyone. Those who do not like what I have to say? Stop reading and obsessing over it all.
It's not justsnarky's fault you did what you did. Thanks for the note, but kindly move on.

School Bullies and Balless Public School Districts
This is a topic which irritates the crap out of me: school yard bullies and the ineffectual way school districts deal with them.
All school districts along and off the Main Line are guilty of pandering to bullies.
I have several friends with kids who are elementary school and middle school age. The bullying at their schools is off the hook. We're going to say Delaware and Chester counties and leave it at that. The schools know who they are. So do the school districts.
In any event my friends are at their collective wits' end - their kids are periodically tortured by school yard bullies male and female. As a result their children are sometimes like wounded birds instead of kids and that pisses me off.
The only thing that ANY of these public school districts seem to do is withhold recess. What crap. All of these kids performing the actual bullying? They are pint sized thugs who all have varying degrees of abuse at home. I want to feel empathy, but I have to wonder WTF on the part of the school districts?
Normal kids should not be turned into quivering balls of Jello because school districts don't want to get involved. Note to school districts: you are publicly funded, you have an obligation to keep kids safe. Not merely from child and online predators, but the little savages who are bullies in the school yard.
I wish I could find something snarky to say here to lighten the mood, but I hate seeing kids in pain - and even the kids doing the bullying. 411? That is what social services is for. The school districts in even the most affluent sections of Delaware and Chester county need to get off their asses and be adults.
I am really sorry but if they know SusieQ and Johnny Bully are being knocked around by their parents and in turn passing it along to their peer groups at school and terrorizing these other kids to try to feel better something is majorly wrong. School districts have a responsibility to NOT dumb down the kids and to keep them safe.
I don't like bullying. You know which school districts you are. Get busy and deal with it. There are Bully Police - make that work - stop the bullying.
