So Who Is Running Solebury if They All Keep "Temping" in Radnor?

Lordy! If there is a natural disaster in Radnor, well then, Solebury Township will be screwed because everyone from over there is a working over here. Will Radnor residents get a tax refund check from Bucks County for keeping an entire municipality there double employed?

It's like the Solebury Invasion...a New Political Cabal....is this just "temp" or "temp to perm"?

Radnor brings in interim finance director
Published: Thursday, July 30, 2009
By Sam Strike

Radnor Township officials have interviewed candidates for the open position of director of finance, but officials are debating whether to hire a finance director now or wait until after a township manager is hired, which could happen by the end of August, according to the township’s interim manager.

Meanwhile the finance manager from Solebury Township in Bucks County, where Radnor interim manager John Granger is manager, is working at Radnor one day a week, Granger said.

Interim finance director Karyn L. Koerwer is a certified public accountant who is working on the budget and assisting in paying bills and collecting money, he said.

Best of Missing The Point 2009

Seriously, Philadelphia Magazine needs to wake up old Broke, err Brooke De Villanova. Ooohh she missed a lot ...well, dears, it's the Best of Philly Best of the Bizarro World Categories. Why? Well ummmm...shall we say their Best Socialite is not immortal? I mean is it just me, or does anyone else remember when she used to hang out at The Great American Pub in Wayne and why???? Hmmmm? Guess that was just an annoy mummy phase? Sigh....and then of course there was that marriage to Pennsylvania political royalty, right?

So before ya put a socialite in a platinum encased ivory tower, kick the tires, ok? Oh right, I forgot, we don't kick the tires in those shoes....

Now onto Irene Glickman. She got "Best Quote". She doesn't represent all of the Main Line, only the ignorant part. Maybe she and Suzanne-Deer-in-Head-Lights-Lammers will strike up a friendship since they seem to be cut from the same ignorant cloth? Where is Suzanne's "Best of" award? Surely there is a special award for women who run down little boys and run away? Or will her special award be special Main Line treatment in court? She should go to jail, but will she? Now she is more Main Line Bullshit we can do without. Loser. Heartless. 75-year-old woman charged in hit-and-run
By Bonnie L. Cook
INQUIRER STAFF WRITER

Lower Merion police filed charges today against a 75-year-old Villanova woman they said is responsible for a hit-and-run accident July 15 that injured a Bryn Mawr teenager.

Suzanne K. Lammers, 75, of the 1600 block of Hepburn Drive, was charged with causing an accident involving personal injury, a felony, and failure to stop and render assistance, a summary offense. The felony carries a minimum sentence of 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine.

Lammers was arraigned via video camera at the Police Administration Building in Ardmore; the charges were lodged with Magisterial District Court Justice Kathleen Valentine several blocks away.

Lammers was released after posting 10 percent of $50,000 cash bond...According to an affidavit of probable cause, the accident happened on New Gulph Road near Morris Avenue in Bryn Mawr. Andrew Mallee, 13, was riding his bicycle on New Gulph when he was struck by a car described by witnesses as a gold Volvo station wagon. Both the car and bike were heading west. The car didn't stop, the affidavit said.

It's More Main Line To Hit and Run?

Wow. Main Line on Main Line crime....Ok, we're not having wardrobe malfunctions, we're having "Dear I hit a Deer"? So it's a 75 year old name Suzanne Lammers of Villanova? Didn't the media previously say witnesses said suspect in their 40s?

I am sorry, I do not buy the Main Line deer defense. Nor do I buy the asshole routine in the driveway where some man basically fluffs off the fact this woman hit someone and took off - the guy did not identify himself - what a jack ass jerk. Guess it is the husband? Seriously, they make a hood ornament out of a kid and they are saying she hit a deer? If she thinks deer ride bicylces we're all in trouble. Will it be a Main Line case of circle the Volvos now?

So who snitched? A neighbor? The gardener? The housekeeper? The minister? If Suzanne Lammers expects us to believe that she thought she hit a deer, well then, pass the Grey Goose, it's time for a martini, right? Shaken not stirred? 2 Olives? And she has been driving around in the upcountry hick pick up truck? Bet that was the talk of the club, right? Main Line Matron driving Joe Sixpack-mobile to tennis? Priceless!

Mrs. Suzanne Lammers? THIS is what deer look like:

OH MY GOD BUFFY! WHAT WILL THEY BE SAYING AT THE CLUB DAHLING? So were you on the way back from Lily Pullitzer? Tennis? What was so important that if you are the one who did this that you couldn't pull over?

Are they are going to yank you right out of the Social Register for this dahhhhhhllling?

Police Locate Driver In
Teen Hit-Run
Charges Expected This Week

BRYN MAWR, Pa. - Police in Lower Merion Township say a woman suspected of striking a 13-year-old bicyclist with a car and leaving the scene without stopping is cooperating with the investigation.

The crash happened July 15 at the intersection of New Gulph Road and Morris Road in Bryn Mawr just after noon.

Police Superintendent Michael McGrath says when 75-year-old Suzanne Lammers, of Villanova, Pa. was confronted by investigators Tuesday, she admitted her role in the accident and said she thought she'd struck a deer.

Police say a tip led them to Lammers' garage.

Investigators have impounded her gold-colored 2002 Volvo V70 station wagon which has significant damage to the passenger side of the windshield.

McGrath says charges won't be filed until investigators finish processing the impounded car, likely Thursday.

Police said the driver and the boy were traveling in the same direction at the time of the crash. The victim was not wearing a helmet.

Once, Twice, Three Times a Lady?

OK, so maybe that is not what Lionel Richie had in mind....so Philly Foibles has had me laughing out loud over their latest Lisa Posts 1 and 2, I have been wondering if she IS engaged, what direction will she go in for the dress? Michael Sembello's myspace page gives no clue!

Will it be Vivienne Westwood?Or Vera Wang? Or, since she is an older bride, will she go the more casual route? But even more importantly? Can we talk Bridesmaids?

Will this be a wedding song?

Sue-Man Schneller Threatens JustSnarky? What? Not A First Amendment Rights Champion ?

Update: Philly Foibles is a truly gallant blogger. It's nice to know I have friends in the blogosphere:

Freedom of Speech
Posted on July 23rd, 2009

We believe in Freedom of speech. One of our favorite legal concepts is the “Firstness of the First Amendment.” The idea that for a democracy to be robust and survive, the electorate must be free to debate the issues of the day. There is a reason that it is the “First” amendment.

We love this Country....The lovely webmistress at JustSnarky reports that she has been contacted by James Schneller insisting that she remove a post about his lawsuit to keep the president off of the ballot in Pennsylvania until he could prove he was born on US soil. Mr. Schneller lost. I suppose that makes him a loser?

But the Courts have ruled on his extra-curricular activities. He does not need us to pile on. But Mr. Schneller, if you truly believe yourself to be a defender of the principles of this Country, engage in the debate. Don’t squelch it.

So a long - long-long-long time ago I posted a post about the man who would have standing in Radnor, James D. Schneller:

Wednesday, January 21, 2009
James Schneller of PA

A rather benign post, and I was merely commenting on all the crap publicly available on the web, yes? And I am hardly the only blogger or person who has commented on this guy, right?

And Schneller posts his views here on James D. Schneller's Page, but he's allowed because his opinion is a First Amendment right, whereas mine is not?

So today, I got a threat:

schnlj@aol.com said...
Jim Schneller here.

I object to the Hawatha entry and request that you and/or Hawatha remove the entry, because of it's falsehood and direct insults. I've hoped you'd remove the blog post itself out of decency by this time, and now I am forced to object to it, and I demand retraction and removal of the blog, for the same reasons.
July 21, 2009 10:06 AM

PhillyFoibles you seem like a lawyerly dude by your postings, what do you think? Here is a guy I expressed opinion on that has taken his nonsense over Obama to the PA Supreme Court, right?

Jun 22 2009 The motion of petitioner for leave to proceed in forma pauperis is denied, and the petition for a writ of certiorari is dismissed. See Rule 39.8. As the petitioner has repeatedly abused this Court's process, the Clerk is directed not to accept any further petitions in noncriminal matters from petitioner unless the docketing fee required by Rule 38(a) is paid and the petition is submitted in compliance with Rule 33.1. See Martin v. District of Columbia Court of Appeals, 506 U.S. 1 (1992) (per curiam). Justice Stevens dissents. See id., at 4, and cases cited therein.

And if you put "James D. Schneller" into Google, is it or is it not true that this pussycat is "out there"? Is it or is it not true that this guy files lawsuit after lawsuit in the court system for everything under the sun in a way called "in forma pauperis"? I asked a lawyer and that means he is asking to file for free that he doesn't have money to file? So are all these suits are funded by taxpayers? And that the Delco dockets alone are littered with his stuff against Radnor? So if Radnor is in dire financial straits why would this guy increase the tax burden of his neighbors?

Anyone else want to comment on this? And while you are at it, read this:

Is It True? Wedding Bells in Radnor?

Can I be a bridesmaid you think? Drat it! Whenever I take a couple days off, or even a day off....something fun happens..Philly Foibles is saying that Lisa Paolino could be hearing wedding bells in her future? I do not Facebook, so I will have to leave it up to others to figure out? But is it true that Michael Sembello says he is engaged, and that he has oodles of Lisa photos on his facebook page? Inquiring minds want to know!!! Will there be Vera Wang or Vivienne Westwood in her future? Will she wear traditional white?

In any event, given the photos I just saw on Philly Foibles, I would say I am glad to see Lisa looking better, right? This convalescence time has obviously paid off, right?

Radnor's Monkey Business

Now seriously...I would not have noticed this if it hadn't been for those comments on the lemonade stand post.

When I think of Radnor and monkey business, well this wasn't what I had in mind, but hey, whatever works. This is hands down the funniest police report I have ever read in my entire life and the person who commented on how embarrassing this is for Radnor on so many levels is dead eyed dick right.

Personally, I don't think it was a monkey, but Lisa Paolino hiding out so she did not have to go to a meeting.

Anyway, still giggling over this one...especially the detail given to this....it's too funny...

Radnor

Monkey on the loose?

Radnor police recently went on a monkey hunt in Wayne.

Police said residents about two weeks ago began reporting seeing a monkey in the woods between the Radnor Trail and the apartments on Highland Court. After getting many reports about the monkey, police went to the area and checked out the situation.

According to police, several bystanders reported seeing the monkey.

Police checked the area and reported hearing what sounded like a monkey but could not find it.

The animal was described by witnesses as a small brown monkey with a white chest and a long curly tail. It had not exhibited any violent action toward the witnesses and remained in the trees and away from the ground. Police called off the search due to darkness.

Police went back the next day and periodically searched for the monkey but could not find it.

In Haverford, young lemonade peddlers have brush with the law
By Anthony R. Wood
Inquirer Staff Writer

The call came in at 7:06 p.m. Juveniles, seven of them, on a quiet residential street, selling an uncontrolled substance: lemonade.
A neighbor had dimed them out, and a Haverford Township police officer responded in a hurry.

When he arrived at the two-story brick house on Maryland Avenue, he dutifully informed Dana Kleinschmidt, mother of four of the reputed offenders, who included 5-year-old triplets, that they were violating the law. They were selling lemonade without a permit.

Kleinschmidt was nonplussed. She told the children to cease and desist, but the law was news to her - and evidently to the rest of the township's police department.

"We all sold lemonade when we were kids," said John F. Viola, the deputy chief of police. "We all went, like, who calls [police] on kids?"

As it turns out, according to Viola, the officer's visit was a misunderstanding that finally was left to Sgt. Joe Hagan to straighten out.

For 12 years, Hagan acknowledged, he has patrolled the streets of Haverford buying lemonade, paying the kids a buck and surreptitiously not drinking it. It never occurred to him that he was aiding and abetting law-breakers.

Legality became an issue on July 10, when William Nickerson called to complain that neighborhood children were peddling the stuff. Nickerson said they were going house-to-house ringing doorbells, and he didn't think they were being properly supervised by adults. "I'm not being Scrooge," he said.

The responding officer - who was unavailable, whom Viola would not identify, and whose name and badge number were blacked out of the police report - invoked a township ordinance against vending without a permit. What the officer didn't realize, Viola said, is that the law doesn't apply to anyone younger than 16.

I say bullshit to this Viola cat. If cops don't know the answer on the street, their job is to call in and talk to whichever superior officer is on duty for clarification. This wasn't a hostage situation or a robbery in progress - it was a freaking lemondade stand and a bunch of kids that probably came up to the cop's waist if that. Bullshit, bullshit, bullshit.

Cops hassling kids over a LEMONADE STAND? Ok, is it time for remedial sensitivity and anti bullying classes? If Haverford Township is busting lemonade stands, what's next? Arresting the tooth fairy for flying without a license? Going after Santa Claus for not have a roof and chimney permit?

I can't even imagine, how terrified those kids must have been, or how upset the parents must have been. I would love to know who the people were who complained - they deserve to have their house toilet papered for life. Freaking Scrooge on Steroids whomever that was! The paper says he's William Nickerson? Well William, what did innocent children ever do to you to get your Knickers in a twist? Did your mommy not let you have a lemonade stand?

So I have to ask, in Haverford Township, if the late Alex Scott had operated a lemonade stand, would she have been hassled by cops too? Would Scrooge Nickerson have dimed her out?

Hey Lady, You Made A Hood Ornament Out of a Kid!

So, I didn't talk about bike-meets-car-in-Bryn-Mawr earlier this week because honestly, I thought the broad that plowed the kid down would have been found by now.

But apparently she hasn't. How do you turn another human being into virtual road pizza and NOT stop?

What is wrong with the Main Line? Does anyone know anyone who knows where this woman is hiding her car? Get her to come forward...hell, turn her ass in.

Wonder who the kid is? That road is kinda busy. I have been on it when those Baldwin mommies are playing "Let's talk on the cell phones and tailgate" during the school year once or twice.

So was the deal with this twat who hit this kid? Was the kid in the street too much? I mean it's been a few days, and no one knows anything do they?

Surely someone knows something? I hope they throw the book at this mystery broad when she surfaces...because she WILL surface....there is no way someone can keep that to themselves - or can they? What value does life have shallow Main Liners? When running to and fro?

Police Seek Driver in Lower Merion Hit-Run Accident
by KYW's Brad Segall

A 13-year-old boy is hospitalized in critical condition after being hit by a car in Lower Merion on Wednesday afternoon. Police say the driver of the car fled the scene.

Authorities say it happened around noon on New Gulph Road near Morris Avenue in Bryn Mawr. They say the car hit the teenager who was riding his bike. He was not wearing a helmet and suffered injuries to his head and lower body. Lower Merion police superintendent Michael McGrath says they’ve spoken to witnesses who saw the crash:

"The driver was a white female between thirty and forty years of age, and the vehicle is described to us as a tan or gold station wagon -- possibly a Volvo.”

He says the vehicle slowed down after the crash but then kept going. He says there should be damage to the right side and the windshield. Anyone with information on the crash should call Lower Merion police.

Sarah Palin Will Do Anything For Money?

Why doesn't she just move to Nevada and take up residence at the Bunny Ranch while she's at it?

Sarah Palin has proven that verbal diarrhea is an art form as she announced (according to MSNBC) that basically she's a political prostitute for hire. Ah yes, she will even campaign for Democrats, according to this report. I am sooo sure Michele Obama will be thrilled...NOT.

So in addition to being a media slut, can't ya just see her stumping for say...Pat Toomey? Arlen Specter? Ed Rendell? YOU BETCHA'!!!! Honestly, this woman needs to be locked away somewhere without access to telephones and computers. Have you seen this twit brain twitter? Have you seen her facebook page? (Personally, I like the facebook parody the best)

Sarah Palin's Constitutional Train Wreck

When Senator Bill Wielechowski came on my radio program this week, he dropped a bomb I wasn't ready for; in order for Alaska to avoid a constitutional crisis, "The real solution...is for the governor to say...'I will withhold my resignation until the legislature can meet.'"

Dead air...please explain, Senator.

Wielechowski pointed out that this was the first summer in years that the legislature was not called into a special session. Lawmakers made plans. Plans to fish, plans to visit friends and relatives Outside, plans to just enjoy an Alaskan Summer. Getting everyone together prior to July 25 (Palin's last day as governor) is almost next to impossible ("...we estimate we can (meet) first-second week in August...").

Levi Johnston says Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin resigned because she couldn't handle the pressure
BY Michael Saul
DAILY NEWS POLITICAL CORRESPONDENT
Updated Monday, July 13th 2009, 10:59 AM

Hockey hunk turned political pundit Levi Johnston doesn't think his baby's grandma Sarah Palin could handle the White House: She can't take the heat.

"She's very smart," Johnston told NBC Monday morning. "But I just don't think she can handle the stress level as governor -- I don't think she can handle it as president or vice president."

Johnston, the 19-year-old high school dropout and former fiancé of Palin's daughter Bristol, said on the "Today" show that he wouldn't vote for Palin if she launched a presidential bid.

"If you would have asked that question a while back, I think I would have [voted for her]," Johnston said.

"But after what she has done now, you know, quitting on Alaska, I don't really think she has been the governor she should have for Alaska."

Bashore v. Radnor Township: The Waahhhh Complaint

Sometimes you just have to say "What the f**k?" Former Radnor manager files employment complaint
Published: Wednesday, July 8, 2009
By Sam Strike

David Bashore, the former manager of Radnor Township who was publicly dismissed by the township’s Board of Commissioners earlier this year, has filed a discrimination charge with the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission.

Bashore was removed after eight years at the township’s helm in April for misrepresenting his compensation, altering business records and not disclosing annual lump-sum bonus payments to himself and other employees, according to the commissioners.

But the former manager’s claim against the township is that he was fired for being a whistleblower, as he stated publicly in April, of claims of harassment by township treasurer John Osborne against himself and other employees.

Radnor special counsel Neil A. Morris called Bashore’s complaint “silly” and “a red herring.”

“We think it’s completely frivolous,” Morris said of Bashore’s complaint.

Morris said that Bashore avers that the Board of Commissioners was upset about Bashore’s complaints and punished him by removing him......In a statement in front of the board and an audience filled with both supporters and opponents in April, Bashore defended himself against the charges made against him and described his removal as a “witch hunt” to “divert attention from those who themselves have failed responsibilities.”...Bashore will have to present proof on the reason he claims he was terminated.

He can seek a monetary award or to be reinstated in his position.

What? No job offers? (Gee I wonder why)

Lemme see if I have this straight - he was the manager of Radnor and got fired, right? Did someone hold a gun to his head and tell him to take all his bonuses and what not? (That would be "no") So, he gets caught and gets canned, and now everyone is supposed to pay and pay and pay? And this is the wonderful man with the charming personality that was written about in glowing terms by that misguided woman in the paper last week?

And I am sorry, Osborne is a freak and it is the fault of the voters he is still in office because he is elected so why not find someone else to do his job? And if he is elected, he is subject to the stupid ethics board that Radnor has, isn't he? He's Maxwell Stupid with a billy club, and everyone in Radnor allows him to get away with what he gets away with and he can't even mail out the stupid tax bills, can he? Find another person. And Bashore ---pity party of one that he is -- well Bashore continues to waste taxpayer money by making crap up. I think Dave Bashore is simply despicable.

Is Buffy Her Pole...err...Stage Name?

I swear. Is the point of plastic surgery to make women look like stripper-hookers? There I was minding my own B-I-bizness surfing Philly Magazine's Party Photos, when WHAM! Faster than Emeril with his wooden spoon it hit me!

Her name is Buffy and the little Perv Perrier looks like he's feeling her up. (Testing the "melons" for ripeness, George?) Seriously, doesn't that odious old goat know how to pose for a society photo YET? Or is she left over from George's girls of the basement days? God Bless Philadelphia Magazine for capturing this Kodak moment and others. And I have to ask, is Buffy her "stage" name?

It would be nice to see augmented breasts that don't look like they are ready to march off a woman's body on their own once in a while. Seriously, it looks cheap.

And speaking of plastic surgery, who knew the doctors' websites imitated porn? I mean seriously, it's like looking at boob mugshots, isn't it? I mean seriously, should we take the boob mugshots out to parties and try to match up the befores and afters? I am sorry, but I think it is bad enough to have to bear all at the gyno, I can't imagine having a Polaroid lurking about as well, can you? And I know none of these surgeons embedded for boob shots, they just came up while I was Googling for Main Line area plastic surgeons (as a matter of fact I can say I honestly don't know any Dr. Plastics, although I have inadvertently encountered a few in social settings).

I guess I don't get optional surgery like this. For a patient doing reconstructive surgery post-breast cancer yes, I totally get that...but this keep up with the wives at the club? Nope.

And have you ever met a plastic surgeon at a party? I have met several who are obnoxious - I have seriously stood there as they have tried to peddle their wares over martinis, or asked questions like "your face looks great. Who did the work?"

Tell them "God" or "Mother Nature" and I swear that will shut them up.

Happy Freaking 4th of July Alaska! Sarah Palin is Quittin' and I'm Cheerin'

Wonder what is really going on with McCain's Vice Candidate in Disaster?

AP: Palin resigns as governor, leaves plans secret
By RACHEL D'ORO – 1 hour ago

WASILLA, Alaska (AP) — Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin abruptly announced Friday she is resigning from office at the end of the month, a shocking move that rattled the Republican party but left open the possibility she would seek a run for the White House in 2012.

Palin, 45, and her staff kept her future plans shrouded in mystery, and it was unclear if the controversial hockey mom would quietly return to private life or begin laying the foundation for a presidential bid.

AP Newspaper columnists give Gov. Palin dubious honor
JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) — The National Society of Newspaper Columnists chose Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as the winner of its annual Sitting Duck Award, a tongue-in-cheek honor that pokes fun at the most ridiculed newsmakers in the United States.

Despite her disastrous performance in the 2008 election, Sarah Palin is still the sexiest brand in Republican politics, with a lucrative book contract for her story. But what Alaska’s charismatic governor wants the public to know about herself doesn’t always jibe with reality. As John McCain’s top campaign officials talk more candidly than ever before about the meltdown of his vice-presidential pick, the author tracks the signs—political and personal—that Palin was big trouble, and checks the forecast for her future.

Who, What, Where, Radnor is VERY Confusing!

When bloggers are right, it tickles my fancy...see article, then see below.

Delco Times: News/Radnor terminates 12 township employees
Published: Thursday, July 2, 2009
By TIMOTHY LOGUE
tlogue@delcotimes.com

RADNOR — If the state-of-the-art township building seems a bit quieter these days, it is probably because there are fewer people working in it.

In moves Radnor officials believe will save taxpayers $1 million or more beginning in 2010, eight full-time employees, including two department heads, and four part-timers were let go June 19.

Another two workers have been suspended for vacationing with former township manager David Bashore and the employment status of police Superintendent John Rutty, who abruptly tendered his resignation last week but was still on the job Wednesday, is something of a mystery.

Responding to a June 23 Right to Know request from the Daily Times, assistant township manager William Martin provided the job titles, 2008 salaries, and dates of hire and termination for the former employees.

Citing a right to privacy, the names were not provided, though multiple township sources confirmed the following full-timers were laid off:

* Director of community development Robert Loeper Jr. — $118,298
* Director of personnel Amanda Ostrander-Serock — $77,369
* Township secretary Coretta Hutchinson — $44,200
* Financial accountant Lesley Wilson — $44,200
* Code inspector William Miller — $73,118
* Code inspector John Pili — $56,092
* Assistant engineer Bryan McCarthy — hired in January 2009; 2008 salary information not applicable.
* Receptionist Vera DiMaio — $34,667
...No township officials would go on the record about suspensions given to township engineer Daniel Malloy and parks and recreation director Thomas Blomstrom, who, along with Loeper, vacationed in Maine with Bashore and former township solicitor David Blake.

Along with other township employees, Malloy, Blomstrom and Loeper were directed to have no contact with Bashore, who has filed a wrongful termination claim against the township with the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission. The former manager also has a pending unemployment claim.

Blake, who submitted his resignation to the board in March but was still handling some unresolved legal matters for the township, has been relieved of his remaining duties.

Interim solicitor John Rice had no comment on the matter and interim township manager John Granger was away on vacation....As for Rutty, he has not commented on his status since having a heated meeting with Granger last week, which culminated in resignation, according to several sources.

In a Tuesday e-mail to the Daily Times, Rutty would only say “The timetable … is fluid.”

Rutty joined the department in 1977 and has served as superintendent since 2004. The department’s longest-serving lieutenant had been Thomas Flannery before he was hired in March as the chief in Nether Providence. The two remaining lieutenants are Joseph Lunger and Anthony Antonini.

Philly Foibles: Ex Employee: Radnor Police Chief Rutty Resigns: UPDATED
The following information was posted by “Ex-Employee” at
June 26th, 2009 at 23:52

John Rutty the chief of police of Radnor has officially resigned as of today. There must be a whole lot more going on than we know. I also heard that they suspended Tom Blumstrum and Dan Malloy for a week without pay for going to Maine.

ADMIN - What is going on here?! Rutty spent a life time in Radnor and made a pretty good living thanks to Aunt Clem!

Update 6/29. Is it true that the Chief resigned over a disagreement with the Radnor Township Board regarding accrual of vacation pay? Is it also true that his severance package, including vacation and longevity pay is in the mid six figures? That’s more than will be saved this year from the layoff! If so, money keeps leaking out of the Radnor Township Building (AKA the Taj Mahal) Inquiring minds want to know!

Update 6/30 Ex-Employee posts: The comissioners of Radnor must of realized that they couldn’t afford to pay Rutty his accumulated time ( which I estimate to be 3 years)at this time so they had a meeting today and begged him to stay. I heard they sweetened the pot and told him they would guarantee his health benefits for life. Wait till next year when 12 cops are eligble to retire with over 1.6 million in accumulated time.

Update 7/2- We heard from three old friends yesterday and today that Radnor Township Commissioners have been in overdrive wooing John Rutty to stay on board at Radnor Township. All sorts of rumors floating that they are offering Rutty the moon to stay on as Chief so they don’t have to write a check for over 5000 hours of comp time (Over $350k) plus 45% of accrued sick time! Will they give Rutty a shot at the Township Manager position? Maybe an interim appointment after Labor Day? Who knows? He’s not from Bucks County so that does not bode well for the promotion. Will they push his fair haired boy up the ladder with a promotion so Rutty gets to choose his successor? We don’t know but it will be interesting to see if there are any promotions in the offing in Radnor’s PD.

Dear CBS3,

So I got another media request via a comment posted HERE on this post:

Hey there!

Love the blog ... wondering if you'd be interested in being featured in my "What's Brewing: Behind The Blog" on cbs3.com.

If so, I'd like to shoot an interview with you (preferably over skype) tomorrow after 5 pm.

Let me know if you're interested ...

While I am flattered, my dance card is full. (And I am guessing I am now in media demand because my Main Line Today pal Sara did such a nice bloggerview in the New "Best Of" issue?)

So Nicole, I don't know what skype is (and people keep talking about it), all I know is I do not have it. But the thing of it is, I don't want to be on T.V., what I would like is more of the issues many, many more worthy local bloggers write about covered by media.

Sara from Main Line Today respected my desire to just be an online voice, and that is the way I prefer it.

Same rules apply, if CBS3 wants to submit questions via comments to this blog, if I have the time I will respond to them.

If not, I am sure there are many other local bloggers around here who deserve recognition -Talk to them - they are the movers and the shakers, I'm just a little voice of snarky in the wilderness.

Have a great day.

The Fog Swirls, Radnor Twirls, But What is Really Going On?

In response to the mysterious commenter named "Smith" who left bons mots today, I haven't the foggiest idea if what you say is true...would I say that someone might be swayed by sucky-up flattery and feeling wanted? Yep. And would it be cheaper for Radnor to keep him then to cash him out? Oh absofrreakinglutely, and I can't wait to hear how much that Loeper guy cost, can you? As for whether or not that lobster dinner was more expensive than anticipated? Well, suffice it to say, one can only hope....perhaps we should ask the old gypsy crone and borrow her crystal ball? She's waiting....look at this way, if we're really lucky, she'll curse the lot of them, right?

Prescription For United States of Disaster

WARNING, THIS POST IS ABOUT TO HAVE POTTY MOUTH. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, SKIP THIS POST AND MOVE ON!

Ok, so I just read on another blog that shall remain nameless, (because it makes for much amusement) a comment from a blogger on the site who basically said Main Line Today chose this blog as best local blog because it was a "safe" choice?

Oh so sorry that I have my own perspective on things...My blog is about what I want to write about, the blogs of others are about what they want to write about. I think I do enough politics for me, and this morning I am about to land on the ass of the Republican Party as a whole.

Why? Because they are assholes when it comes to health care in this country. They all are sending out the G-men to destroy any chance of health care reform not because they believe it's wrong but because the heath care and pharmaceutical industry would stop giving donations to the GOP, correct?

And look at the GOP choice for Chairman of the party? Isn't the choice of Michael Steele just because of America's choice of Obama for President? OF COURSE IT IS. IT'S WHERE ELEPHANT SHIT BEGINS: PARTY HEADQUARTERS.

And then there are the old Republican stand bys - the flannel mouth talking heads who pretend they are media? YES, MORE ELEPHANT SHIT.

And look at the candidates they give this country and the ELEPHANT SHIT they breed from coast to coast? On personal choice issues like they have the right to tell me what to do with my body? Like gay rights? They want you to believe the sky will fall in if gays have the right to marry, and that is crap. And family values? Now that is the cutest of them all considering how many Republican leaders can't keep their damn pants zipped shut. Like Mark Sanford who has admitted now he is a serial cheater? Or Sarah Palin and her teen daughter whom she paraded about during the campaign preggers and unwed like this is what the teens of America should emulate? ELEPHANT SHIT.

I remember when the Republican Party actually represented the people of this country and not just special interests and donors with large bank accounts.

But you all take a peek at the latest bit of ELEPHANT SHIT, a website called Conservatives for Patients Rights. Since they are a ORG, I wonder who all is funding them? Maybe Rush Limbaugh and his pill habit? Ann Coulter and her racist prejudiced potty mouth? The creature from Wasilla, Sarah Palin?

So I am starting a NO MORE ELEPHANT SHIT campaign. I hope it spreads from coast to coast. I am just sick and tired of all the ELEPHANT SHIT. Our country is going from recession to depression (if it isn't there already), we can't afford health care, and people are losing their homes. On a local level, look at Radnor Township? I hate to say it, but is what is happening as a municipality implodes directly linked to Republican Party politics in Radnor Township? Does that make that Mimi what's her name the Michael Steele of Radnor? (Not that neighboring townships like Haverford, Tredyffrin,Lower Merion and so on are much better, because they aren't - they all have dysfunctional Republican mini-parties too, don't they?)

Mind you, Democrat Leadership gets a warning too. Don't think I am not watching out for your brand of DONKEY SHIT TOO. Starting with the PA Pity Party on CNN this morning. Ed Rendell needs to own his part in the problems plaguing Pennsylvania. And he shouldn't cough out loud on national TV. It's gross.

Michael Jackson is NOT the only news out there!

Honestly! We are the self-fulfilling prophecy of stupid Americans. Every news channel, every day is hyper-focused on the death of Michael Jackson.

First there is the hypocrisy of this country in general as we all spent years mocking Jackson for his germ phobias, plastic surgery courtesy of Dr. Frankenstein, his weird habit of liking to sleep with children, and recoiling when he was accused of child molestation, true? Whacko Jacko and all that? And then the African American Community in this country who for years, they criticized Jackson for trying to be white, etc true? Especially when he married Lisa Marie Presley and then chose that blond woman Debbie Rowe to breed his children? And then there were the whispers of drug addictions, etc?

And now, now he is the only news in this country when there is so much else going on in the world and in this country.

I am sorry, but I have to say it's bullshit. For years everyone called him "Whacko Jacko", mocked him for hanging babies out of windows and over balconies? And what about all his financial troubles? And now all of a sudden he is on a pedestal? Deified?

I feel sorry for those kids of his, but honestly? How about some real news? This guy was a study in mental health issues and wastefulness and with all that is going on in this country, every station and every paper is the Michael Jackson News Network? Yes he was an incredible musical talent, but he was an entertainer, not the news.
