Rumor mill on a totally unrelated subject: I heard a checker confirm to a customer at the Wayne Acme that Acme just signed a new, two year lease on the property. The clerk said businesses had been looking at the old Eckerd location but no contracts yet. I still don't want to believe that a majority of the BOC is going to vote to permit that P.O.S. drive-through Rite Aid. That company is in unbelievable debt...is #3 of the 'big pharmacies' .. has no compunction about building hideous plastic palaces in quaint historic towns. We can't allow the zoning law to be changed just because Rite Aid says it'll take its toys and go home.
