jon and kate visit norristown...how exciting (NOT)

So, someone sent me a screenshot of the docket for this case...ho hum. Just like any other divorce proceeding...truly not so special...but damn, seedy old Norristown probably has not seen so many tabloid reporters since Susan Tabas Tepper bonked the nanny with organic veggies, right?

But the idea of like TMZ and all those others on the steps of the courthouse in Norristown with decay and bail bond places and hookers and homeless people scattered about is just the oddest combination.

These stupid people chose to pay for their litter of puppies, oops children, by becoming reality TV stars. That doesn't mean realty TV stars should lead the news. They aren't even amusing like the Real Housewives of Bravo. These people are just selling their dirty laundry to get rich quick. Maybe people should think about if they can afford to pay for all those babies before they have them? What's next a solidarity of sisterhood visit from the Octo Mom for Kate someday in court?

The one thing I don't get is the Jon guy's lawyer. Why have the media-escort-the client-to-court-glam-shots going in and then just quit on your client once you get in the door? Talk about publicity stunts, huh?

Here's the coverage from the Philadelphia Inquirer and Philadelphia News. After reading you will need a shower to scrub off the yuck factor. One would think with the shortage of reporters at the papers that they would have had actual news to cover? Here's an idea: leave Page 6 to Page 6.

Court hearing looks at Gosselins' finances
By Bonnie L. Cook
Inquirer Staff Writer

It was Jon and Kate plus a court date yesterday in Norristown.
Although Kate Gosselin wasn't there, Family Court Judge Arthur R. Tilson ordered the stars of TLC reality show Jon and Kate Plus Eight to continue arbitration on matters related to their bitter divorce.

The judge scheduled their next court session for late November. The pair, who have eight children, split in June amid rumors of marital infidelities denied by both sides....Following the brief hearing, Jon Gosselin said he had returned $230,000 he took this summer from the couple's joint marital account....Mark Albert Momjian, Kate Gosselin's Philadelphia attorney, said Kate Gosselin submitted a full accounting of children's and household expenditures to the arbiter in the case before the hearing....New York attorney, Mark Jay Heller, lambasted Kate Gosselin 34,for not appearing in court....Heller has no standing to practice in Pennsylvania, so he couldn't represent Jon Gosselin in the courtroom after his local counsel, Charles J. Meyer, of Blue Bell, withdrew before the case was heard yesterday. Tilson accepted Meyer's move. Meyer had no comment, but a source said Gosselin and Meyer had fundamental philosophical differences.

Hmmm, yeah, real devoted mom...Maria Shriver outranks divorce court? LOL Yeah I guess...

Jon and Kate plus lawyers: Keeping tabs on the money

Like a migraine that never quite goes away, the bickering Gosselins of reality-TV show fame aired some of their well-publicized issues yesterday in Montgomery County Family Court.

Well, one of them.

Patriarch Jon Gosselin, 32, of Wernersville, and his lawyers were in court while estranged wife Kate Gosselin, 34, was at a book signing in California at Maria Shriver's annual Women's Conference. Her team of legal eagles was present, however.

For those who may have been flying over the earth in a silver balloon for the past year, the cranky couple and their eight children once starred in a TLC reality show "Jon and Kate Plus 8," which has been renamed "Kate Plus 8" by the channel.

I can't help but wonder, is this divorce all an attempt to boost ratings of a reality show? Like maybe everyone including the courst are just being used?

I see Cheryl Young's name in there? Isn't she one of the lawyer you hire when you just want to waste lots and lots of the ex's money?
