More stupid politician tricks. Bigots like this Sally Kern are truly despicable and make me want to retch, vomit, puke. What I want to know is if her particular brand of hate is catching like a communicable disease? Do you wish to contact OK St. Rep. Kern? (You will after you hear her rant)
I am not a huge Ellen DeGeneres fan, but she is right on the money:
Here, give ol' Sally a jingle:
Capitol Address: 2300 N. Lincoln Blvd. Room 332 Oklahoma City, OK 73105 (405) 557-7348 District Address: 2713 Sterling Ave. Oklahoma City, OK 73127
Been blog surfing again. I always check out things that pop up on hot button topics - personal choice for women is always one - every election cycle, to that end, I am fascinated by the jockeying over that topic.
Some politicians aren't afraid to take a position pro or con, some avoid it like a communicable disease, and some candidates surprise you and take a position you can't quite believe as credible. For example, if Sen. Bob Casey said he was pro choice, I wouldn't believe him either. Why? Because we know he's not.
I find it really hard to believe that a candidate who stresses lifelong GOP values as well as a cradle to college kind of Catholic School education would be pro choice, can't you all agree? Call me crazy, but does this shoe really fit the foot? Or is it just to say they have an endorsement? Here is what they do to get endorsed. It's pretty clear:
If you are a female pro-choice candidate running for the State Legislature in 2008, you can seek an endorsement, and potential campaign resources, from PWCF.
That's like saying John McCain's wife is really a hippie, that the Barbie doll plastic exterior is just a facade, right?
Honestly, this is like figuring out who is telling the truth or not in What's My Line. And this is the line: being supportive of women's issues is one thing, but is Lisa Paolino really that liberal on ALL women's issues? Is she pro-choice?
Finally, at long last something to write about. Actually a couple of things, and I am dizzy at the prospect.
I have been sitting quietly watching the blogs on politics, and can be quiet no more. It is not breaking political news when a politician raises $100K. It is also not breaking news when a politician launches the first t.v. ad of the season.
But don't tell that to Princess Fluff-spinner from Radnor Township. Apparently with her any news is good news, and she is chanelling her inner Obama. Her ad, err, her You Tube appearance is ridiculous, and boy is her Delaware County accent modulated to make her appear "to the manor born"....dahhhhlings. Well, if you want to hear her really, check out this podcast...you'll ummmmm, ummmm, love it.
And then there is the Main Line Magazine cover. Call it Lily Pulitzer as Hooker, or Lily on Crank. And I am so sure animal rights activists are going to so dig the pink poodle.
Honestly, between stupid politician tricks and interpreting Lily as hooker-wear, the world is a sad place....made to be mocked
